FYI

If your child is functioning three (3) or more grade levels in Math, your child may be having  difficulty with math reasoning which is a skill needed to solve math problems.  Review the following resources:

Recommendation 1:

Using math strategies to solve math problems is the goal.   Students must be able to explain "Why" they are using certain strategies to solve a problem.  After watching  each video,

make sure you allow your child time to practice the concept by demonstrating their knowledge using paper and pencil, manipulatives, etc.   To ensure students understand, your child will need to complete/practice skill on a computer program ( IXL, Khan academy, etc.) and obtain a score of 80% before moving to the next lesson.
